Astronoid.net
Description
Astronoid.net is an online futuristic racing game allowing up to 8 players per race. Several elements, reminiscent of WipeOut, expect you to drive spaceships from obscure canyons to asteroids’ fields or get lost in outer space.
The game allows you to use weapons, and there are several classes of vessels. Ships are controlled via the mouse and playability requires fingering.
The game was originally free to play for beginners, but "pilots' licenses" could be bought (Amateur, Professional, Champion). These licenses allowed to access higher level spaceships, maps and game modes.
