Characters
Billy Lee, Jimmy Lee, Marion, and Abobo are the only four characters from the original
Double Dragon games. Duke was the final boss in
Super Double Dragon.
Movie
This game was loosely based on the 1994
Double Dragon movie starring Mark Dacascos, Scott Wolf, Alyssa Milano and Robert Patrick. The Neo-Geo version has a small FMV clip in the intro with scenes from the movie, and Marion's stage has screenshots of the movie on a big-screen TV in the background.
Rebecca, Eddie, Dulton, Cheng Fu, Amon, Duke and Burnov did not appear in the movie. Marion, Billy Lee, Jimmy Lee and Koga Shuko are the central characters of the movie but look completely different from their on-screen counterparts.
