Summary

Harder, Faster, Stronger... Better ?

The Good

If you played the first Sonic Advance, you know it was a classic sonic adventure with all the classic characters (Sonic and buddies, Eggman...). Well, Sonic Advance 2 is the same thing, but improved in many ways.

The graphics are very good, with nice colors. The music is quite good too. But that's the least for a Sonic game... The story... well, it's again Dr. Eggman trying to take over the world with Chaos Emeralds... The game features the old trio Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and a new character, Cream, a cute rabbit-girl. Each has specific skills and moves. The gameplay is faster than in any previous Sonic game. It is REALLY fast. Sonic goes through acts at light speed. The ones who thought Sonic Advance 1 was not fast enough will love this sequel, because, seriously, you'll not have time to be bored...

The Bad

It is quite simple : the game is TOO fast. Sometimes you just have to hols "right" until the end of the level. Sometimes you won't be quick enough to press "jump" before it's too late. Sometimes you just don't see what's going on anymore. It becomes very frustrating as you progress in the game. Sonic must also run during the boss battles. Because of that, the bosses are very hard. First boss is OK, the next is incredibly hard. I must have died ten times ! And it was ONLY THE SECOND ONE !

The Bottom Line

If you like Sonic and you have bionic reflexes, this game is for you !
