References to the game

Kwirk was part of a video game show called Video Power, which had an animated segment called The Power Team. Kwirk and several other Acclaim characters of the era took part in adventures with their leader, Johnny Arcade, against NARC's Mr. Big and his minions.

All of the characters were based off of NES titles, save for Kwirk, who was a Game Boy title.
