The iDOLM@STER: Shiny Festa - Rhythmic Record
Description official description
SHINY FESTA is a spinoff series of THE iDOLM@STER series. Unlike the main series, SHINY FESTA consists of pure rhythm games. Each game features a 23-minute anime episode at the beginning. The story involves the idols of 765 Production being invited to participate in a global music festival. However, only a handful of idols can go. Which idols attend depends on the game.
Gameplay involves notes traveling to a target in the center of the screen. The player must hit the right notes when they pass over the target to get a good score. Different songs are available, and each song has a music video that plays during gameplay. These videos include both prerendered CG characters and traditional animation. More songs can be unlocked and downloaded.
There are two main modes: Stage Mode, a sort of free mode, and Star of Festa Mode, which is the story mode. In Stage Mode, the player selects the songs they want. There are 4 difficulty levels for Stage Mode: Debut (Easy) and Regular at the start of the game, and the unlockable Pro and Master levels. Star of Festa Mode has three difficulty levels and a new point counter called the popularity gauge. How many popularity points the player has determines what kind of ending they will get after 5 days.
In Rhythmic Record, the idols chosen to represent 765 Pro are Yayoi Takatsuki, Ami Futami, Mami Futami, Hibiki Ganaha, and Iori Minase.
First Print (初回) retail release for PSP platform includes backstage pass code for "The World Is All One!!" song for use in the game, and Shiny Festa version of one of the idols to use in The iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls.

Trivia
Localizations
The Shiny Festa games were the first video games from THE iDOLM@STER franchise to be officially released anywhere outside Asia, though some non-game media had previously been released in the United States. There are a few translation errors (such as the word "hobbies" being misspelled as "hoobies" in the character profiles), and all swimsuit costumes were removed from the localizations (replaced by different costumes), likely to make the game more friendly to players of all ages.
