Skylanders: Battlegrounds

Skylanders: Battlegrounds puts the Skylanders up against Kaos' armies, lead by his four warlords: Arbor Eater, Mega Chompulon, Chompy Mage, and King Brock. The Skylanders move on maps made of hexagonal tiles, and must move to the enemy's location to initiate a battle. Two of the player's Skylanders will then be transported to a battleground with features determined by what kind of tile the enemy was standing on. Multiple waves of enemies will then attack until all are defeated. The player is then sent back to the tile board. Battles yield coins, experience points, and may also reward with magical items.

The game can be downloaded directly from the app-stores, and the iOS version can also be downloaded using a code included in a physical Starter Pack. The Skylanders may be imported using the physical toys and a Bluetooth Portal of Power (also from the Starter Pack) or downloaded using the online codes included with the figures. All Skylanders figures are compatible with the game, as updates introduce the characters for each new Skylanders game.

The included Double Trouble figure is a Series 2 figure, but has the same pose as its Series 1 counterpart, and may include a blue variant commonly referred to as "Royal Double Trouble".

A special LG Electronics promotion included a Starter Pack that came with three random figures packed individually rather than the three default ones.
