Egyptian Level
"The Lemmings Chronicles" are a direct continuation of "The Tribes" (albeit an unfinished one, because they only feature three of the twelve Lemming tribes)...
...In "The Tribes" all "Classic" levels had the least interesting, Egyptian-like graphics from the first game. Now the Classic tribe has landed in some industrial facility...
...However, this level look more overgrown and there are these mysterious, spooky eyes looking in the background...
Level map - Egyptian island
The Egyptian levels look different than in "The Tribes" - in fact less Egyptian, more "cartoony". However, some have for example interesting-looking pillars.
Some levels (only the Egyptian ones, it seems) feature a false exit which will kill Lemmings. Easy to recognise by lack of circle on the door.
See the red-haired Lemming digging? The possibility to mark a Lemming is very useful, given that special skills can only be done by Lemmings who have picked up necessary items.
Level map - Shadow island
Two Lemmings swimming towards the exit in dark, cold water...
Note that even brick colours vary between the tribes.
