Description

X-Plane 9 is a civil flight simulator. It focuses on an exact and realistic simulation of the planes and uses the blade element theory to calculate the aerodynamics. The game includes scenery from all over the world, including about 18.000 detailed airports and Mars, and 29 aircraft of different types, even helicopters and a space shuttle. The main appeal of the game is the mastering of the controls but there are a few scenarios, e.g. landing on an oil platform. The main innovations to X-Plane 8 are a better performance, more aircraft and improved scenery.
