It is based on the book Marauder written by Berkem Al Atomi, set in a fictional, anarchistic Russia, in the city Ozersk somewhere in Ural region. Due to overwhelming corruption government collapsed and NATO send Peacekeepers to reduce the spread of terrorism, while in reality they come to capture resources and industrial areas. The main character - Akhmetzyanov, or just Akhmet - is a Marauder, one of the few new groups formed after collapse (including numerous gangs made from ex-soldiers and cops) that hunt for remaining resources. junk and food for his family.
Similar to other Apeiron games it is a real-time tactical combat game with a smart pause modus (SPM) which allows you to control your actions to 1/100th of a second. You can set certain actions that launch auto-pause. The game has ballistics, location damage, stamina/weight management, allow to use covers (but not in the way like in the modern action TPP games), and some destructible environments.
The game's difficulty level can be customized. Your character gains experience for actions and eliminating opponents. You can choose from various perks including weapon proficiency and one that increase bullet penetration for instance.
