Routes

As the first decade of the 21st century comes to its end, people are convinced that they live in the age of peace. This also seems to be the permanent state of Soichi Nasu, who sleeps through his high school classes and apparently just wants to go through life doing nothing. All this changes when several ships disappear in the sea under mysterious circumstances, and an equally mysterious blonde woman appears and attacks Soichi. The age of peace is over for everyone, including Soichi himself: being an undercover special agent, he must figure out a way to avert the threat of war while protecting his own secret identity and continuing to enjoy the romances of high school.

Routes is a visual novel. The bulk of the game is dedicated to still anime-style images accompanied by text descriptions and dialogues. The player's interaction is restricted to occasional decision-making, which might influence the subsequent course of the storyline.
