Simon Francis is a game designer and programmer. Francis became interested in computer programming whilst at school. The first game he created was a clone of the arcade game Frogger which was coded on the Dragon 32. Francis sold the game via classified ads in computer magazines. His first game to be professionally published was Pit Fiend, a Microdeal release. Francis went on to create several titles for the Amstrad computer which were put out by Amsoft. In 1985 he became a full time employee of Durell Software.
