John Hayashi

As a 3D Artist for Her Interactive, John Hayashi is responsible for designing, modeling and lighting environments and content for the Nancy Drew mystery games, as well as creating the models for many of the close up hotspots and puzzles. During pre-production, John also contributes to the team brainstorming which molds the initial game design.

John has a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design from Seattle Pacific University. In addition, he also attended the Art Institute of Seattle where he graduated with honors and earned his Associate Degree in Applied Arts in Computer Animation.

John first joined the Her Interactive art team during an internship through the Art Institute of Seattle. John immediately proved to be a valuable asset to the team and went on to participate in a second internship and was later hired full time directly after graduation.

Bilingual in Japanese and English, John's previous work background has been in international business, working in import/export. But his true love has always been in 3D art. As a young boy in Japan, John spent most of his time building and painting plastic models. Today, he still burns the midnight oil (and weekends and vacations) working on his models.

Aside from creating traditional illustrations and 3D graphics, John also enjoys playing golf and watching Japanese video animations in his free time.
