The Intel 8080 is an 8-bit microprocessor released in 1974 and successor of the Intel 8008. It could address 64 KB of memory which was four times more than its predecessor. The chip was used in various early microcomputers such as the Altari 8800 and the Sol-20 and in Arcade games. Games documented under this platform are those created in a platform agnostic way, generally created and intended to be run on computer kits built using this processor.
