Shiraz Akmal

Shiraz is one of the founding members of Heavy Iron Studios (a division of THQ, Inc) bringing more than 15 years of industry experience to his position. He’s been responsible for managing and directing the product development and software engineering teams. As a teenager, he programmed and published his first video game and since then has gained experience in design, production and engineering for companies such as Berkeley Systems, JVC Interactive and THQ. His career highlights include award winning, multi-million unit selling titles from Berkeley Systems, You Don't Know Jack and After Dark, Heavy Iron Studio’s best selling Scooby-Doo! Night of 100 Frights, Sponge Bob Squarepants and The Incredibles video game.
