Tech-Specs > Video Modes Supported > Hercules
The Hercules monochrome display adapter was identical to IBM's monochrome adapter except all 720x350 pixels were directly addressable. This gave Hercules users a monochrome 720x350 graphics mode. Games marked with this attribute support this mode directly, eliminating the need for a "CGA simulator" program.
