Overview edit · view history

Casio Computer Co., Ltd. (カシオ計算機株式会社) is a Japanese multinational, founded in 1946.

Mostly known in the west for electronic calculators, watches and music keyboards they also produced the 8-bit PV-1000 game console and the PV-2000 home computer in 1983, and MSX home computers starting in 1984. In 1995 they introduced the 32-bit Loopy (ルーピー) game console, which was strangely enough targeted at female gamers. Apart from the MSX, none of their game consoles and home computers were ever released outside of Japan.

Casio released very few games (around 15) for the PV-1000 and PV-2000 machines (which were not compatible with each other), while for the MSX they published around 40 software titles. For the Loopy only 11 software titles are known to exist.

In addition some of their digital watches produced in the 80s and 90s include built-in games.

Credited on 35 Games from 1983 to 1997
