Beenox, Inc., also known as Beenox Studios, is a game development studio founded in May 2000 and based in Quebec City, Canada, developing for personal computer platforms and consoles. In March 2004 the company launched two labels: Beenox Score
for original game development, and Beenox Shift
as its porting division. The company became a fully-owned subsidiary of Activision Publishing, Inc.
in May 2005.
Later, at least in 2008, the Shift / Score division was abandoned and all work is now credited as Beenox Inc.
In 2006, Beenox was honored with the prestigious "Enterprise of the Year" award at the 23rd edition of the Fideides Awards, organized by the Quebec Business Council.
