Overview
DreamCatcher Interactive was a game publishing and distribution company based in Ontario, Canada. It was founded in 1996 by
Richard Wah Kan.
In January 2002 the company launched the publishing label
The Adventure Company, exclusively used for PC adventure games.
In 2003 the company opened the European office
DreamCatcher Europe SA in Paris, France, after acquiring the liquidated company
Cryo Interactive.
In March 2007 the company along with its labels were acquired by the European company
JoWooD Entertainment AG. From then on, the names DreamCatcher and The Adventure Company were only used as publishing labels.
They are currently still in use, along with the name JoWood, and are used as publishing labels for the company
Nordic Games GmbH as Nordic Games Holding acquired the JoWood assets in August 2011.
