Biography edit · view history
Patrick Durbin was born in Fridley, MN on February 16, 1984. He grew up in Smyrna, GA and moved to Tempe, AZ in 2002 to go to college at U.A.T. (University of Advancing Technology).
During Patrick's enrollment at U.A.T., he developed "The Adventures of F.L.I.M." (an unreleased project) on Multimedia Fusion entirely by himself (however the background music for the project were not made by Patrick). After the completion of "The Adventures of F.L.I.M.", Patrick began a development team titled "NR, utd." on January 13, 2003 as the leader of the development team. The team began with an action card-based game titled "Crystalline Cauldron" that was submitted to I.G.F. of 2004. "Crystalline Cauldron" was later scrapped in February of 2005 as a result of a disbanded team from graduation at U.A.T.
During the process of "Crystalline Cauldron" becoming scrapped, Patrick and Nick D'Orazio moved onto the next project of NR, utd. entitled "Fiends' Fury: Tactics." On July 5, 2006, Patrick began working at GameTap while continuing working with NR, utd.
In September of 2006, "Fiends' Fury: Tactics" was placed on a "hold" status due to the limited team size and the expansive nature of the project in order to begin a smaller team project titled "Mantis Shuffle" to produce a high quality reputation, a larger budget, and more employees for "NR, utd." to fulfill the needs of "Fiends' Fury: Tactics."
As of April 12, 2012, the project "Mantis Shuffle" was placed on a "hold" from its lengthy development. NR, utd. then went through a drastic change in projects and investors. Patrick is now the project director for "Epsilon" and the lead programmer for "H-o-H", both projects being developed together in NR, utd.
