Ellen Meijers, born and raised in The Netherlands, started playing piano at the age of 6 and went on to receive highest honours in an international piano competition in Belgium at the age of 18. Later, she earned three Masters Degrees in Musicology, Music Technology and Interactive Multimedia.

In 1995 she moved to San Francisco. After working on sound design for several companies, Ellen signed on to be the full-time Composer and Sound Designer for Oddworld Inhabitants, from 1997 to 2001, and Sound Designer and Audio Lead for the LucasArts sound team, from 2002 to 2007.

She is currently working on projects for companies such as Apple Computer, Inc.
