Overview edit · view history

A joint venture begun in 1998, Electronic Arts Square was 70% owned by Electronic Arts, Inc. and 30% owned by Square Co., Ltd.. EA Square's purpose was to localize, publish, and market EA's western games for a Japanese audience. As part of the same agreement a counterpart company Square Electronic Arts was created in the US.

When Square merged with Enix in 2003, the partnership ended and EA bought Square's 30% of the company.
