A plainly bad game.

The Good
After my last review I was contacted by one of the game's authors, Amit Ameli, who had some good points to make regarding it. I revised it, so here is what I have to say:

Basically Avish! is just not a good game. It has some merit for being one of the very few Israeli games to have ever been written, but it doesn't matter since basically even for 1993 it just isn't much good. I suppose you could say that some of the puzzles were challenging, but that's about it.

The Bad
According to Amit the entire plot is a joke on their "astronaut" history teacher, so I'll refrain from making any comments about that.

The graphics are just plain bad. The sound effects are absolutely horrible, and the music wasn't much good either. According to Amit the really difficult puzzles begin at about level 40, but I was so fed up with the game I didn't even bother to go that high. The Hebrew version is good for a laugh.

The Bottom Line
In short, not a good game at all, and as my brother just put it - "no point playing it." I couldn't agree more.
