Star Wars: The Old Republic - Shadow of Revan

Shadow of Revan is the fourth downloadable content pack (DLC) for the 2011 game Star Wars: The Old Republic after Galactic Strongholds.

The DLC is the second story expansion after Rise of the Hutt Cartel. Revan, both ex-Sith and ex-Jedi, was the main character of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and has returned to the world to complete his ultimate goal, to defeat the emperor.

A new faction, the Revanites, springs from both Imperial and Republic Troops, having both Jedi and Sith fight together side by side under this new flag. It turns out Revanites are people who follow Revan, as Revan seemingly returned from the grave.

The player unites both Imperial forces and Republic forces to stop Revan and his Revanites. As defeating the emperor would mean first granting him a body again, which is very, very dangerous. The player's quest takes them to two new planets; Rishi and Yavin 4. Rishi is a tropical pirate den where the Revanites seek to lure both the Republic and Imperial fleet, block their communications, let chaos take over, and afterwards destroy both fleets with their own fleet.

Having prevented that, players travel to Yavin 4 to stop Revan personally. With a joint Republic and Imperial attack, the Revanites are crushed on Yavin 4. Unfortunately the player is too late as Revan's dark side (which is still in Revan's body) is at a point to free the emperor. To the amazement of all, the emperor frees himself, due to the sheer amount of deaths feeding his strength, even before the ritual had begun. Revan's dark side sees that he cannot destroy the emperor and dies, leaving the body and joining once again with the light side entity, making him whole again.

Thus, the Revanites are crushed but the emperor is freed, and has to be stopped no matter the cost. The Republic and Imperials will have to work together as soon, there will be no one left when the emperor absorbs all life to gain his own strength again.
