For centuries, while the rest of the land lay parched under the blazing sun or frozen by winter storms, the island of Ymros enjoyed unending blue skies, verdant hills, and soothing breezes — all thanks to the Shard of Spring.The peace of this blessed isle was shattered when an evil sorceress stole the sacred Shard. By threatening its destruction, she exacted a terrible ransom that plunged the populace into abject poverty, hunger and despair.Now they beg you to embark on a noble quest to regain the Shard and lift this unbearable yoke of tyranny.

This multiple-character role-playing fantasy game lets you assemble five adventurers chosen from human, dwarf, troll, elf and gnome races. Endow them with different combinations of speed, strength, intellect, endurance and warrior, wizardry skills. Then guide them wisely as they visit towns and taverns to look for clues and to buy the weapons, magic items, and armor needed to survive the treacherous wilderness and monster-filled dungeons.
This game boasts a first in fantasy gaming: During combat, the screen zooms in to show an up-close map that duplicates the terrain features of the overall map. If the strategic map shows your group to be in a specific corner of a dungeon with a door on the left, the tactical screen will have that exact corner and door.
Shard of Spring promises an exciting adventure that anyone can get into right away, yet has enough options and depth of play to keep the action challenging.
