Description
In the far off world of Lakeland, all was peaceful. This was until an evil being known as Zerah came and polluted all of the water, making people very sick. You play as Nasir, 'The Champion of Light', and are sent into the world to destroy the demons that seem to be linked to the muddy waters. On your quest of good you'll come across people in need and help them.
Lagoon is an action role-playing game. The hero is able to attack, jump, and cast magic. Defeating enemies in action-based combat grants the player character experience points, eventually leading to leveling up. The hero can also equip weapons and armor of various kinds.

Great plot, but poor programming
The Good
This game is well written, like many RPGs made in this time. One of the better non-Square or Enix RPGs.
The mazes are a bit challenging compared to many RPGs, which is good for those who like to be challenged in this fashion.
The Bad
Poor programming, its very easy for a boss moving boss to hit you at one spot and move to to another spot where you get hit again, sometimes you can die from this. Monsters were a little too predictive.
The compositions are catchy, a little too repetitive though, and there are only a few sound effects.
The Bottom Line
Its a good game if you really like the action RPGs like Seiken Densetsu or Zelda.
