Top Notch Top Down multiplayer (or single) racing game!

The Good
It has been years since I played with this amazing game. I clearly remember running home with my friend from elementary school, to play Indy Heat. We were always arguing about the best curves, best add-ons for our cars and of course we had lots of fun beating each others cars in the game. It had nice graphics for an Amiga game, and it came on only 1 diskette. It had kinda huge load time, but it wasn't irritating, and hell, we could prepare for races of our lives till that time :)

Every race track was only a static hand drawn circuit of an American circuit, including Indianapolis, Kentucky, Michigan, etc. I'm not sure if they exist and of course the layout is not the same, but they were good looking and fun.

Each circuit had a depot, where you had to fuel up, get your car fixed (if you were trading paint too much since the last pit stop), and refill your turbo.

After each lap, depending on your position, you could add several upgrades to your car, in multiple steps. For example, buying an engine would make the car go faster in general, having more turbo allowed more temporary boost to the car's movement, tyres for grip and faster movement in sand, crew for quicker refills and fixes in depot, brakes, fuel, etc... It made some strategy included :)

The Bad
It was good looking for that age, and had addictive gameplay, what else would I need as a little boy, wanting to have fun?

Maybe a better soundtrack would do the trick for being perfect.

The Bottom Line
It's a 1-4 player racing mayhem, with tiny cars, just like Death Rally on PC since, or IRON MAN in the past on C64 and Amiga as well.

If you have the chance to try it, get a friend and have fun....because IT IS fun.
