The Mahjong Tōhaiden
Description
The Mahjong Tōhaiden is a one-on-one mahjong simulation game following the Japanese san hako mahjong rule system for two players. It features a variety of different game modes.* Fighting King: a campaign mode in which players choose a character, then take on every other character in the game in one-on-one matches.

Free Match: a single-match mode in which players choose both their character and a CPU-controlled character.

Actual Mahjong: a one-on-one mode with a persistent customizable player character.

Mahjong Tournament: an 11-player tournament mode in which both the player and CPU players compete to become the winner through multiple rounds.

Trivia
Soundtrack release
Although there isn't a full soundtrack release, the track Mister Diviner by Soshi Hosoi was selected for inclusion in Hyperdub's 2017 compilation Diggin' in the Carts. The unusual ambient soundtrack is inspired by minimal composer Steve Reich.
