This is the title screen of the Japanese version of Rapid Reload – Gunner’s Heaven.

Yeah, yeah, it was a nice peaceful world we had once. We heard that story before.

The opening is not in FMV format, instead it is pixel art, which is consistent with the in-game graphics.

The player has a choice of two characters – a male, and a female.

A jungle stage in a side-scrolling run'n'gun? Now, where else have we seen that? Oh, right, right

A special code makes your sprite smaller, while retaining collision bounds, so you are the same easy target.

Aside from running, the game involves swinging, flying, and yes, even roller skating.
