The game starts with the player entering their id. It runs in a small area of the screen like this or there is a 'Fill Screen' option that is accessed from the menu bar
thumbnail
Once logged in the game expects the player to choose their game
thumbnail
The Customise option in the top left of the main menu screen allows the player to change the controls, background, and even add a photo of their choice to represent their opponent
thumbnail
Delving a little further into the game's controls. There are thirty different backgrounds, 25 different types of card back, and four different styles of card face to choose from
thumbnail
Playing Backgammon. This screen is displayed at the start of every game, unless the player elects to suppress it. It allows customisation of the backgammon game, access to rules etc
thumbnail
The start of the game. Playing against Roswell, a friendly alien.
thumbnail
Roswell's made his move first. This is Moby's turn and a double has been thrown. The player's dice are tossed by double clicking on the dice case on the right
thumbnail
When a counter is selected the game shows exactly where it can be moved to. This is an option that can be disabled. Counters are moved by dragging 'n dropping them.
thumbnail
Every now and then Roswell's eyes will flash, or he/she will wave their arms. Occasionally he/she will claim to have Elvis!
thumbnail
Moby is just about to win the game
thumbnail
Game over!
thumbnail
After the game the current stats are displayed. After this the game is automatically set up for another match
thumbnail
Starting Cribbage. As with Backgammon the game commences by explaining the rules
thumbnail
So the computer opponent has been selected and the cards have been dealt. The first move is to place two discards into the crib
thumbnail
Moby's discards have been made. Jasper's were made first and show face down beneath the crib
thumbnail
This is the 'pegging' part of the game. As each round is completed the game clearly states who has won what points
thumbnail
A good feature of this game is that it clearly shows not just the total point score per hand but how that score was achieved.
thumbnail
Jasper scored highly and his pegs are moved round the board showing he has an early lead.
thumbnail
The end of the game. No big 'Celebration' screen in in Cribbage, just the player stats
thumbnail
In addition to the instructions at the start of the game there are comprehensive instructions available during the game
