Trivia

As you can guess from the name of the races in the game, this game is inspired by Star Trek. The cover art even features Fed and Klingon ships shooting at each other. A perusal of the manual shows that it is actually inspired by Star Fleet Battles, a starship combat boardgame by Amarillo Design Bureau that is actually licensed by Star Trek/Paramount, but with the race names changed slightly.
