EAT THIS!!!! FIGHT!!!!

The Good
Ah, Super High Impact, back in the days when football games could be great without a license or even EA being attached to it somehow. This game was always fun to play in the arcades and when this came to the home consoles, it was one of those moments when you think to yourself...HOLY CRAP!!! YES!!! I was a big fan of this game back in the days and the chance to play it at home was more than I could fathom.

First off, the graphics are great for this, bright colors, smooth animations both on the field and the referee animations really made it stand out. The sound and the music were awesome for this as well, true it wasn't up to the standards of the arcade of course, but for the Genesis it was outstanding.

There were a lot of things to love about this game, but especially the monster hits, literally destroying a guys equipment into little pieces and get graded by the booth DJ on who hard you hit and of course the fights that broke out including those famous words....EAT THIS!!!! FIGHT!!!! Ah great times, great times.

The Bad
You know, truthfully there wasn't a lot I didn't like about this game, except maybe for the small sprites, but considering it was the Genesis, there was nothing to be done about it. Truthfully, that's the only thing I could think of.

The Bottom Line
With everything said and done, Super High Impact for the Genesis is an awesome home conversion done back then, true it was not up to standards to the arcade, but it was done faithfully well. A true classic in every sense, so if you ever get the opportunity, try this game out for a blast from the past.
