Starting a game on the temperate planet, with 2 solar generators and some energy links.

Developing the base with a few harvesters and one laser turret, which is great for sending peaceful greetings to the first visitor.

A small perimeter around the base is taking shape; we can now send multiple peaceful greetings at once.

Choosing attack priorities, since we don't explicitly choose who to attack.

A stronger perimeter, a new type of alien

I invested my money in harvesting far outside the perimeter, and now I'm protecting the investment -- lasers can be concentrated for greater range and damage.

Inside the perimeter: some rocket turrets, and a path for directing energy from one side to the other, where it is needed.

I'm overrun just when I was getting a visit from the awesome enemy leader and his gang.

Starting a game on the arctic planet. This one is awesome as the wind blows and randomly pushes and scatters the enemy across the map.

I set a bigger perimeter. And I'm sending energy towards the buildings under attack.
