Ivo tries to rescue Mortimer.
thumbnail
Wilbur does what he does best: dream.
thumbnail
Wilbur comments on the rather old food in the kitchen.
thumbnail
Mortimer gives Wilbur the One Ring. No not that one, the other one...
thumbnail
Wilbur's home: An empty dwarven keep.
thumbnail
Wilbur visits his bedroom.
thumbnail
Wilbur's family. He's the one that doesn't really fit into the picture.
thumbnail
Wilbur suddenly thinks that whole "adventure"-thing over.
thumbnail
That's were the bad guys live but I guess you knew that.
thumbnail
Mortimer has been captured by Mother.
thumbnail
Ivo visits Mortimer's house. Notice the guy on the left.
thumbnail
Showing all hotspots inside Mortimer's house.
thumbnail
This nameless mummy is one of the funniest guy's I've ever met in an adventure.
thumbnail
Solved the riddle and found the book.
thumbnail
Find Wilbur in this picture.
thumbnail
As the dwarven keep, the human cities is also devote of any people.
thumbnail
These two are playing a MMORPG. I think it's called "Reallife" or something.
thumbnail
One ugly city guard.
thumbnail
I always knew it: A monkey controls the server of an MMORPG.
thumbnail
In the pixie caves, Nate finds a talking helmet.
thumbnail
The flying dragon, as Ivo and Mortimer make their escape.
thumbnail
Bottom of Mortroga's fortress. Hmm, I see a whole lot of "Simon the Sorcerer" influence in this game... ;)
thumbnail
Wilbur can use this map to travel between places.
thumbnail
Master Markus reveals the sad commercialism of modern mana potion production. ;)
thumbnail
My umpteenth swamp view after "King's Quest", "Quest for Infamy", "Heroine's Quest", "Gabriel Knight", "Hand of Fate", "Simon the Sorcerer" and others... ;)
thumbnail
Preparing the magic potion - it's a minigame! Looks somewhat interesting as long as there are ingredients on the right side, otherwise it's not an interesting view.
thumbnail
I really regret and just can't understand one thing: why Wilbur's quest on the other side of the ghost mirror wasn't a visible, interactive sequence.
thumbnail
Back to the swamp - now Wilbur has to persuade Death to bring him back to life.
thumbnail
I really loved the Arch-Mage's tower in "The Critter Chronicles". Here's a daytime view of the same place. (I know, it's earlier, but I played the games by plot chronology.)
thumbnail
Inside the temple. You can choose any of the three to pass through the door, the puzzle solutions just differ a tiny bit. I chose Ivo because she's female! :)
thumbnail
Another example of technical proficiency of the Gnome race.
thumbnail
Entrance to the earth pixies' mine.
thumbnail
Inside the mine. Nate should avoid the pixies until, with a bit of cheating on his part, their god "speaks" to them and "tells" them to accept the human.
thumbnail
Nate's map is a little illogical. Some places can only be accessed by the map (no exit of their own in the screen), but you can only go to the teepee and the orc camp directly from the graveyard.
thumbnail
Mortroga's fortress. Mortroga and Munkus don't realise how flexible Critters are and how easily they can escape...
thumbnail
The warrior contest in the orc camp - as long as Nate is inside, Ma'Zaz can't harm him because rules of hospitality prohibit this.
thumbnail
Wilbur learns how to hack the chieftain's magic circle. ;)
thumbnail
The credits sequence, with hand-drawn views of places and characters from the game...
thumbnail
...Really, they make me wonder (as usual): why didn't the developers stop at this point? Why does everything has to be 3D nowadays?...
thumbnail
...To me, more polished hand-drawn graphics would have simply looked better than 3D...
