Trains & Trucks Tycoon
Description official description
Trains & Trucks Tycoon is an economic simulation in full 3D where the player is the manager of a transport company. To make money he uses his vehicles - overall 56 different kinds including trains and trucks - to ship goods from the production place to the customers. The player has to build all streets and routes himself. There it is important to think of the complex good circuits, e.g. a car factory needs raw materials from steelworks which in turn needs coal and iron from mines.
In the campaign consisting of seven missions the player recreates the history of the family Mann. For example in the first mission he builds as Charles Mann the first train between Stockton and Darlington in 1825 or later he is Bau Mann after WWII. In the nine scenarios the goal is to compete with the AI. Of course there is also a free playing mode with random maps.

Trivia
There was a big lawsuit from former designer Peter Dobrovka against Virtual X-citement and Ubi Soft. According to Dobrovka's description of the events, he worked on a non-commercial game named 3DDT. Then he was employed by Virtual X-citement and it went commercial. He got laid off in late 2001 because there were disagreements about money and the release date. He claims he never conveyed the publication rights to Virtual X-Citement and they violated his copyright by releasing Trains and Trucks Tycoon. Virtual X-citement and Ubi Soft claim that Trains and Trucks Tycoon was newly developed from scratch and there are no parts developed by Dobrovka left.
In 2002 Dobrovka failed to obtain an injunction to stop the release of Trains & Trucks Tycoon because the court can't ban something that doesn't exist yet. After the release Dobrovka filed another lawsuit which was rejected in 2006. He appealed and in December 2008 Ubi Soft and Virtual X-citement were prohibited to release, distribute or duplicate Trains & Trucks Tycoon.
