The first mission
The intro shows the ongoing conflict between the two human factions, the Alliance (blue) and the Federation (red).
The Pilot Manager, which is essentially a player profile selection menu. The game keeps track of individual pilot statistics, similar to many other combat craft simulations.
Campaign mission briefing.
A typical mission starts with your craft launching from a carrier ship.
The HUD can be turned off, although piloting the fighter and engaging the enemy isn't easy without the instruments.
A skirmish with some Federation fighters during an escort mission.
It is possible to fly the craft in chase view mode, with the HUD still being visible.
Another type of external view mode, this one is purely for visual aesthetics.
The Jumpjet allows to quickly reach a target or pull out of a fight at the cost of depleting the player craft's energy and lowering the shield.
About to land on the carrier and finish the mission.
Dogfighting in close quarters.
During many missions the player is accompanied by AI-controlled wingmen, who are quite capable of fighting on their own. Here a Federation fighter is heavily damaged by two of our allies.
The built-in technology database provides detailed information on all ships...
...and weapon systems in the game.
