Fruitola
Description
Fruitola is a match three game. Using your mouse, swap two fruits to create a straight line of three or more fruits, horizontally or vertically. These will then pop and clear the screen, with other fruit dropping in to replace them. To clear a level, you must remove ('pop') ten times the level number of fruit. So, for level one, just clear ten fruits, for level two, twenty, etc. If you end up with no options to make a match, the game is over. The fruits in the game are:* Apples
- Watermelons
- Grapes
- Oranges
- Pears
- Lemons
- Strawberries
- Cherries

Trivia
Development
Fruitola was originally created back in June, 2005. This was to be Jake Birkett's first commercial game. Indiepath suggested making the game Christmas themed so Birkett redid the graphics to create a game called Baubled. But he was not happy with the results. In the new game, all the items were shining glass Christmas ornaments of the same shape but different colors. So, Birkett tried again and created the game Xmas Bonus. Several years later, he decided to release Fruitola for free.
