Guns of Icarus

Title change

This game was originally released in 2009, as Guns of Icarus. It was sold on various platforms, primarily Steam. In 2012, the development team released a vastly altered version, incorporating online play, called Guns of Icarus Online.

At that point, they withdrew the original game. Not merely from the store, but from people's accounts. There was furor from people who had bought the game previously and had their purchase taken away. The developers chose to rename the original game as Flight of the Icarus and returned it to people's accounts. The reason for the re-titling was to avoid confusion with the new "online" version of the game.

If you bought this on Steam, you now have Flight of the Icarus in your account, while if you bought a copy elsewhere, you have Guns of Icarus, now also referred to as Guns of Icarus Classic.
