Map of Known Areas - Automapping reveals explored regions and landmarks such as towns, settlements, and caves.
thumbnail
Armor analysis - Information regarding armor coverage, ranging from protection against attack damage, such as tear attacks to warmth for protection against the cold.
thumbnail
Timbercraft - This skill allows the player several options to interact with trees, chopping them into logs, blocks, and boards, to be later manufactured into items for crafting or carpentry.
thumbnail
Trade - Depending on the town/settlement, some may offer various shops selling specialized goods. In this example, the axe sign on this building indicates that it's a metalsmith shop, selling weapons.
thumbnail
Trade - Bartering is the only method of trade in this game. Hunters and adventurers may also be willing to trade some of their items.
thumbnail
Trade - Besides shopkeepers, the player may encounter foreign traders while travelling. Foreign travels offer many quality goods in exchange for quality furs.
thumbnail
Climbing - Tree climbing is the most effective way to detect local wildlife and other creatures in the area or else rely on blind random encounters. Here an elk is detected within range.
thumbnail
Hunting - Ranged combat is usually method of choice when hunting most animals. Hunting a black grouse for example requires a quick and accurate shot with a bow before it flies off into the wilderness.
thumbnail
Tracking - Sometimes animals (and people) leave tracks that may be followed (except for smaller creatures and birds). Hopefully the player can sneak up close enough to deliver a crippling ranged shot.
thumbnail
Combat - The Nejerpez are hostile warriors, noticeable by their red clothes. Melee combat consists of the player attacking specific body parts (e.g. head, legs) while defending by dodging or blocking.
thumbnail
Combat - Eventually, combat will reach a point where the one of the combatants fall prone and await the final finishing blow.
thumbnail
After killing an animal or human combatant, the player may opt to attain raw meat by cutting up a carcass. Yes, that's a human foreign trader that's going to be cut up. His friends don't seem to mind.
thumbnail
Cooking - Various selections from roasting meat to vegetable soup. Remember our friend we cut up in the previous screenshot? He's now dinner via roast.
thumbnail
Rituals is the minor supernatural element of the game, used to converse with spirits and the underworld. Here the 'Hunting Incantation' is used to significantly increase the tracking skill.
thumbnail
During the game, the player may receive a "you feel united with the world" message, indicating that the player may learn new rituals. Rituals may be learned from shamans, often found in villages.
