Bit of War
Description
Bit of War is a NES-style demake of the God of War series transforming the franchise into an 8-bit 2D side-scrolling platformer. It is based on God of War III, but with an alternate story the developers pieced together from old interviews with the series' creator David Jaffe to approximate what they believe to be the originally envisioned ending for the protagonist Kratos' story, filling in the blanks themselves.
The player controls Kratos through several levels. He can move around, climb ladders, attack and block. The basic weapon is the trusty Blades of Athena, but he also has access to the Eurydale attack that turns enemies to a stone, a mid range weapon, a longe range weapon, and a special attack based on the power of the desert wind. Not all attacks are available right away. Enemies include soldiers, archers and berserkers.
