On PlayStation 3, upon starting the game, it can detect if you have played Mass Effect 3, and if so you get specially stylized N7 Sheppard's body armor to freely select at the armor shop in the game.

In February 2013 the game was the best selling title in both the USA and the United Kingdom, with 605,000 copies sold in America in the debut month. However, this did not meet the company's expectations.
