When the simulator runs for the first time it displays this information screen
The main menu screen
The first stage of the Flight Planner process. It usually starts with selecting a departure airport. Since this version of Fly! is limited to San Francisco scenery that's the default location
This screen shot shows the airport selection process. Central Africa is not the intended destination, the player needs to scroll through all countries to get to the USA
When the player finally selected the USA as a destination country the game found over four thousand places to land. This is too much to display as the handy information window says.
Having selected the starting point and the destination the player uses the software to generate a route
The aircraft selection screen, here showing just the two aircraft available in this version of Fly!
The plane's passenger and cargo weights can be entered so that the correct amount of fuel can be loaded.
The plane's fuel load can be adjusted. Here the player has opted for full tanks.
The environment screen is where the player sets the weather conditions for the trip. Here it's set for clear skies and light winds.
The simulator comes with some pre-loaded flights. As this version is based around San Francisco and is limited to just two planes, the number of supplied flights is less than the full version.
