Threes JS
Description
Threes JS is a browser clone of the Threes! pattern matching game. It uses the same visuals and includes the game's official soundtrack, but there is no mention of official endorsements by the original developers. Just like the original version it is a single-screen puzzle game played on 4x4 grid. The game starts with a number of tiles carrying the numbers 1, 2 and 3. The player can move the tiles around the grid in any of the four directions unless the row or column near the edge for the chosen direction is entirely full, but with every move a new tile randomly appears. It is not possible to specifically move a single tile, all tiles move along where a gap permits. When two tiles with the numbers 1 and 2 touch, they merge into a new tile with the number 3. From that number onward merges are only possible times two, so 3, 6, 12, 24, 48 etc. The goal is to keep combining the numbers until the grid is entirely locked. Moving tiles is done with the arrow keys on the keyboard. When done the final score is shown along with the option to share it on Twitter or Facebook.
