PMLIFE
Description
PMLIFE is an implementation of Conway's Game of Life for the OS/2 Presentation Manager. The Game of Life is a cellular automaton which obeys the following rules:
- The 'game board' is a grid
- Cells on the board may be 'alive' or 'dead'
- At the beginning of each turn, live cells with fewer that two or more than three live neighbors die
- At the beginning of each turn, dead cells with exactly three live neighbors become alive
PMLIFE supports field sizes of 1024x1024, 512x512, or 256x256, and at most 10,000 cells may be alive any one time.
The player can create data files with a text editor representing new initial configurations for the game board, then run them in PMLIFE.
