In what might have been a crowning moment of tastelessness in an era filled with tasteless decisions, Acclaim Entertainment had plans to advertise Shadow Man: 2econd Coming on real tombstones, and pay the relatives of the deceased for the space. It isn't known if they actually managed to convince anyone to sell their loved one's space for some quick cash, but it's more likely that the entire scheme was just a stunt to keep Acclaim's name in the papers and magazines.

German version

In the German version, all gore effects and corpses which are part of the level design (all in all three) were removed. Additionally most blood was recoloured green.
