OASE: Other Age Second Encounter
Description
Oh no! Your caring mother got a letter from her long lost relative King Mirage XXII in Zeiva Kingdom, announcing the first date of his daughter. And you, the prince of Zeiva Empire, still haven't dated someone? Impossible - this has to be changed immediately!
OASE: Other Age Second Encounter is a dating simulation with adventure and visual novel elements. It picks up the characters, events and worlds of Zeiva Inc's previous games Genetic Glow I and Imaginary Realm and is the male story counterpart of the original Other Age (which the story's introduction refers to).
The game is split up into three parts:
Part 1: Summon a girl and convince her to stay in this realm
Dating couldn't get easier: You just have to answer 10 questions and a machine called "Luv Luv Nitarou Dynamite" will teleport a matching character from some dimension to you. Unfortunately not everyone is very pleased about being teleported without asking first, so it's up to your persuasiveness to convince the girls to stay here; you will do so in a typical multiple choice dialog system as seen in other visual novels. If you managed to keep her interested you will proceed to
Part 2: Explore the castle and find an appropriate dating spot
In this adventure-like part you will walk around in the castle and it's surroundings with the ultimate goal to find an appropriate dating spot. The basic layout of the castle will always be the same, however depending on the girl you are dating the NPC reactions and events will change and other areas may be accessible. This way you will hopefully find out about your future soulmate's preferences and ultimately find an appropriate dating spot / activity.
This part is mostly adventure-like. You can walk around in the castle and it's surroundings (the directions you can leave a scene are indicated by small circles), talk to people, inspect objects and solve puzzles.
Part 3: Play a minigame
When you finally reached the right spot you will have to win the girl's heart (or suffer eternal vengeance or something like that if you fail to do so) by playing some kind of minigame with your partner. Your partner likes dancing? Great, then you can prove your skills in a minigame similar to Dance Dance Revolution. Those minigames cover a wide range from defending a culprit as a lawyer over mixing cocktails to fighting.
The game features 55 different endings, depending of the outcome of the different stages. There are no manual savegames, instead you will get a password when you progressed in the game, making it possible to resume any character's progress at any time.
