Description
Micro Machines is a mobile game entry in the Micro Machines franchise (licensed through Atari who had it at the time). It's played from a top down perspective similar to the original Micro Machines game and the player chooses from ten different characters and up to twelve different circuits (depending on handset). Various pick-ups can be used in the races: speed boost, oil that makes the track slippery, and cannonballs that can be fired at the opponents.
There are four different game modes: Head to head*: The player competes against one AI driver and has to get one screen ahead to take a point from the opponent. To win the player needs to take all the points or have the most points after three laps. In the case of a tie the fastest driver will win.
-
Tournament: A series of races against three opponents. Winning the tournament leads to another tournament being unlocked.
-
Single race: A race of three laps against three opponents on a track of the player's choice.
-
Challenges: The player races against a ghost of his own best race.
