Main menu.
One of several highly detailed loading screens. This one shows the magic barriers that have cut Avernum into segments.
Inside the city Formello. The minimap in the corner marks important and locations you've discovered.
Your inventory. Items carried in your backpack don't count for encumbrance purposes - just the equipment on your body. You also have a "junk bag" for things you want to sell quickly.
Fighting a drake inside a lava-filled cavern. The icons next to my party's portraits on right are various buffs - speed, shielding, blessing, etc...
Fighting some giant lizards. My priest have just cast "Call the Storm" - one of the new priestly spells in this remake.
Leveling up. At each level you'll be able to assign one basic attribute point (on the left) and two skill points. This shows the fighter skill tree.
Alternatively, you can spend your points in the magic skill tree. This tree also contains general use skills like Luck, Cave Lore, Tools Use and First Aid which can be useful to fighters as well.
Traits have been reworked in this version. Now you can pick new traits every couple of levels (assuming you meet the requirements).
Mage spells menu.
You can assign up to four abilities or spells to your Quick Spell buttons. This shows the complete list of those, including new fighter-only battle disciplines.
Shopping in Formello. Besides vendors who buy or sell items, you'll also find crafters who can brew powerful potions or produce artifacts if your bring them the right ingredients.
Talking to a mysterious visitor.
Traveling in the outdoors. Unlike Avernum 4-6, this remake is true to the original in its approach to outdoor travel.
World map. Just like the minimap, this also shows important locations you've discovered and quests that you need to perform.
New achievements screen.
