Paul and Vince, hurled thousands of years into the future, have just returned from an uncontrollable time warp. These infiltrating warriors learned many things about themselves... and about survival!

The mission they are about to undertake will tax their resources and skills. The terrorists have gone too far this time, by kidnapping the son of a prominent politician. You and a fellow Ikari warrior will attempt a rescue as you fight for survival against a relentless onslaught of well-trained enemies.

The Ikari warriors have no choice but to meet this new challenge head-on. Will the rescue be successful?

"IKARI III -THE RESCUE-" is an action shooting game released by SNK in 1989. Players assume the roles of elite soldiers RALF and CLARK, and infiltrate a terrorist base in order to rescue the presidential candidate's son, who is being held hostage. While the players battle one tough foe after another, they must not take too long to rescue the hostage, or the main terrorist forces will catch up with them.

The "Arcade Archives" series has faithfully reproduced many classic Arcade masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores. Please enjoy the masterpiece that built a generation for video games.
