Hektor
- Hektor (1999 on Atari 8-bit)
Description
The player was a subject at HEKTOR, a secret research facility hidden beneath the ice of norther Greenland. The only memory of your time there was what seemed to be a rather painful medical experiment. When the game starts the player wakes up in a corridor somewhere in the facility and with a lighter as only help. The goal of the game is to overcome a psychosis and to escape the facility. Due to the characters bad psychological condition, medication has to be taken at regular intervals, otherwise the field of vision start wobble. Notes spread out in the facility and visions helps the player to get a grip on what was going on in the facility. The game uses procedurally created levels which makes back tracking impossible, what just a second ago was a corridor could now be a dead end. The player is not alone in the facility, some enemies lurks there and they will try to kill the player.
