The game's splash screen is the first thing the player sees, after this come the company logo's which are in turn followed by a video montage

After the company logos have been displayed the player is treated to a montage of in-game screens mixed with animated on-pitch action and sequences of black and white video

The game's title screen follows the video montage, the language selection screen and the memory card check

The options sub menu is a vertically scrolling list. The options are: Sound Game Rules Controller Config Environment Miscellaneous Player Editor and Load/Save Options

Setting up a match The first step is to select a league. In addition to the leagues shown here there are also two International leagues

Preparing to kick off in a Practice Match. The letters in the word PRACTICE fly on to the screen and rapidly fly off, the same happens when a THROW IN or a CORNER takes place
